Today we are near Brussels driving the new Toyota Corolla Hybrid<\/strong> for a review<\/strong>. Toyota Belgium gave us a Corolla hybrid premium for the week. Compared to the previous model the improvements for both interior and exterior are very clear. Looking at the exterior, the design is more futuristic and sportier. The red with contrasting black roof makes it really aggressive and makes the car stand out even more when you\u2019re driving around. <\/p>\n

Admiring the lines of the bodywork you immediately realise the novelties in terms of the design present on this model. The new shapes of the front and rear lights, with LED technology, are aggressive. Toyota did not design this car based on the previous model Auris and it\u2019s very clear. Around the car you can see the Hybrid logos, and some other details that you\u2019ll only find in the hybrid version of the Corolla. Our press car is equipped with beautiful 18-inch wheels that add to the sporty look of this model. <\/p>\n

Stepping onboard this Toyota Corolla Hybrid it is easy to realise the numerous improvements. Once you step into the new Corolla you notice that Toyota is going in another direction. Compared to the Auris the interior looks a lot more up do date and the quality of the finish is a lot better. The new interior is sporty, neat and ergonomic. The sports seats on this model make the cabin even sportier. <\/p>\n

Technology reigns supreme aboard Toyota Corolla Hybrid. The driving aids are numerous and all well-functioning. The lane trace assist, adaptive cruise control, road sign assist are no longer an option, even the base model is equipped with these safety functions. In the higher grades you\u2019ll get blind spot monitor and rear crossing traffic alert. In the dashboard you can find a combination of analogue indicators along with an LCD screen. The overall result is pleasant, all the information you need when driving is within reach or only a push of a button away. The soundproofing of the cabin is also improved, giving the feeling of being on board of a premium car. At the centre you can find the usual Toyota infotainment screen and even a space for the mobile phone with wireless charging. An optional JBL audio system is also available for the Corolla TS. <\/p>\n

Under the hood of this Toyota Corolla Hybrid we find the brand new 2.0 hybrid engine. Toyota’s new hybrid powertrain boasts more power and improved acceleration. This engine was developed by Toyota to attract a different kind of driver. One where driving isn\u2019t just a way to get to your destination but someone who wants to have fun getting there. The result on the road is clear, you have the feeling of driving a more responsive and quicker car. For improved road behaviour, multilink suspensions at the rear come as standard. <\/p>\n

With Toyota Corolla Hybrid you will have the chance to drive a car that is both eco-friendly and fun to drive. On the highway you will appreciate the possibility using the hybrid mode up to 110 km\/h with a clear fuel saving. Adaptive cruise control will be a faithful ally for greater comfort. The only price to pay for having the best performing engine is the smaller trunk. In any case it will not be a big sacrifice, opening the door the space that you will find will be more than acceptable. Altogether the Toyota Corolla Hybrid is a versatile and fun car. Finally, owning a hybrid car does not just mean having benefits in terms of fuel consumption, but also fun. And this is exactly the purpose of the new 2L hybrid engine. <\/p>\n
