The Bologna Motor Show, after a stop in 2015, has opened its doors to visitors from 3 to 11 December. We were there! Several innovations has been planned for this year and the car manufacturers present showed their top models in their list and future innovations.

There were, to be precise, forty manufacturers that occupied the Bologna Fiera’s pavilions in the opening dates. Among the most important were Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Citroen, Dacia, DR, DS, Fiat, Ford, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Lamborghini, Lancia, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, Mazzanti , McLaren, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Noble, Pagani, Peugeot, Pininfarina, Renault, smart, Suzuki, Tesla, Toyota and Zagato.

For Infiniti has been the first year at the Bologna Motor Show, the Japanese brand continues to establish itself across Europe with the presentation of the Q60 coupé very similar by design to the Q50 sister four-door.

The French group PSA invested a lot on his presence showing the full range of vehicle of Peugeot and Citroen, with also the official debut at the Bologna Motor Show of the DS brand.

For the Italian flag has also been present the FCA group who was present with all its brands.

To arouse strong interest were undoubtedly the 124 Abarth, the Alfa Romeo Giulia, exposed in the VELOCE and Quadrifoglio version, and the Maserati Levante. Unfortunately was not possible to see the long-awaited Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

Other important cars exposed were the Bentley Bentayga, the Toyota CH-R and Mirai, the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008, the Renault Koleos, the McLaren 570S and the new Land Rover Discovery which debuted at the Paris show.

Lot of crowd were present at the Tesla pavilion with his full electric cars.

The real star of the supercars, or rather one that definitely turns heads among the others, has been the Ford GT. At his first Italian appearance can be recognized for an extremely aggressive aesthetic, powered by a twin-turbo 3.5 V6 600 hp, with a stunning rear dominated by two huge central exhaust.

However not only were the models exposed to entertain the public. The 48 Motul Arena in fact, hosted, as usual, a series of competitions and shows who spread the burning rubber smell in the air. For those who wanted to participate in person putting himself at the wheel in the external area there have been several models ready to be tested.

DS has made available to the public the DS3 PureTech 110 hp with automatic transmission, the DS 3 Performance 208 hp and DS 4 Crossback Blue Hdi engine with 180 hp. From this year it was also possible to test SUVs and 4X4 in, thanks to an agreement between BolognaFiere and CarraraFiere that for 16 years organizes test drive at the 4X4 Fest in Carrara. The year 2016 will be remembered as the year of the rebirth of the Bologna Motor Show, thanks to the excellent response of the 40 car manufacturers who have seen their stand always crowded and full of novelty that attracted a lot of audience every day of opening.
